Aim: The Finnish Physical Society (FPS) aims to advance public awareness in physics by sponsoring small grants (~500-1000 EUR) for high schools, individuals, local physics clubs, or other operators who are planning an event or project related to physics (only new projects will be supported).
Timeline: Applications are welcome at any time throughout the year. They may be closed if we reach the grant limit in our budget. The status can always be found on this page.
Application guidelines: Applications have to include a plan, justifications and a budget estimate, including also possible funding applied from other sources. Recommendations are not needed. Send the application to toimisto@fyysikkoseura.fi
Status: Open as of 08.06.2023.
Decisions: The decisions are made by the FPS Board after the call deadline. The priority is given to the members of the society and projects/events that reach large audiences. The applicants will be informed as soon as possible by email.
Reports: Reports of the sponsored projects are required afterwards, including report of the expenses and possible other funding received. Keep the receipts. Reports are sent to: toimisto(at)fyysikkoseura.fi.
