The Finnish Physical Society is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Korean Physical Society. Until now, our international relationships have primarily been inside Europe, facilitated via the European Physical Society. Now, for the first time, a partnership has been established beyond Europe.
This relationship was established through the FPS board’s role as the Finnish National Committee in Physics, which serves as the Finnish liaison to the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).
The agreement signifies our mutual recognition of the importance of international scholarly collaboration to research and education. Additionally, it opens exciting opportunities to explore how to establish such collaboration between scholars and research groups of our respective countries.
This agreement was signed online, dated 21 October 2024. In lieu of a physical signing ceremony, we include a photograph taken at the banquet of the IUPAP General Assembly, 2024.
